Amman, Jordan

Jordan included intense sightseeing and it felt like we had jumped into a history textbook (but in a good way, no pop quizzes).  Here is our pictorial history book/adventure through Jordan.

And to keep Grandma happy, enjoy some maps.

Our voyage began in the capital city, Amman, with a stop to walk around Roman ruins at the Citadel.

Bagpipes made us think of Grandpa Roy.

Temple of Hercules:

Then we scurried along down the King's highway to Mount Nebo.

The next stop was at Madaba which is the city of mosaics.

The St George church had a mosaic map of the Holy Land from Byzantine times on the floor.

Our next detour was at Petra and you don't want to miss those pictures so come back and read the blog in a few days.

Happy belated birthday Greg.  Hope you had lots of fun.
